Our Mission

To advocate and address health care disparities and social determinants of health for our homeless, aging, disabled, and medically at-risk populations in the Cape Fear Region. By providing the necessary resources and support services needed to receive/provide quality healthcare, we can bridge the gap from despair to a healthier mental and social-driven atmosphere

our vision

We see a world where individuals age or convalesce in place with dignity and respect, knowing their needs are met and they are being properly cared for.

our history

Advocating for my mom when all odds were against us, and facing financial and social crises was only the beginning of my passion for being the voice for disabled and aging communities. At 19, I quit my job, gave up my social life, and almost gave up on myself.

My only focus was to make sure my mom lived her best life, no matter her disability or impairment. Transporting her to and from doctors' appointments, helping her enroll in school, and managing to laugh while doing so was the most fulfilling end of life.

While jumping through loopholes, obtaining medical equipment, specialized education, recreation, and even advanced medical care at home weren't easy, my mom's quality of life did not diminish. I was her voice when providers, home care agencies, insurance companies, and even friends were not hearing her cry for help.
